Meet Jason Vanzant

It’s a complicated story how I met Jason Vanzant. Basically through mutual friends, we got connected and met up to shoot because he’s ridiculously good at skateboarding. I found out that he played poker and I ended up jumping in on his home games which is how we became really good friends. It cost me a lot of money to become part of the inner circle and get my own seat at the table but I consider it an investment. So if you want to shoot photos with him, back off cuz I’ve paid for exclusive photographer rights. I kid.. I kid.. but seriously. ;)

Jason has been skating for about 9 or 10 years now, he’s from Rancho Cucamonga, and he shreds Upland Park like he’s got full special meter. His sponsors are Hurley Clothing, Pawnshop Skate Shop, and Hosoi Skateboards.

After you go through the photos, tell me which photo is your favorite in the comments and then make SURE to check one of his most recent video parts at the bottom.

Full Pipes with Peacock!

Zach Peacock is one of the raddest guys ever and SHREDS tranny like nobody else! I’m glad I finally met him, we have about a billion mutual friends and we’d heard about each other for months from everybody and we just now linked up. It was cool! Now we’re pretty much best friends!

Riverside Quickie

Today was a quick sesh out in Riverside. We hit a couple spots in the short time I had.

Forrest, switch flip.

Forrest tried this switch flip ten times, lost a bet and was over it. We packed up and as we were leaving, he decided to get us all to turn around and of course a couple tries later he got what he came for!

While Braxton and the rest of the guys were hangin out in the parkinglot, I busted out a few sick tricks down this flimsy suicidal sixteen rail. I stacked like 9 clips and just sessioned the rail. Not really but Braxton really did fifty and 5-0 this rail no big deal. In about 5 tries he got both tricks and we rolled out!

Braxton, 50-50.

I was siked on these photos because they didn’t look so great in the camera. I brought them into the computer and not I’m really happy on how they turned out!

Braxton, 5-0.
